Erick Lindgren’s roots lie very strongly in competitive sports. At high school, he gained some reknown as an All-League quarterback, and was MVP on his basketball team. Basketball remains a serious hobby, as does golf, but it is really poker which is currently fuelling his competitive interests. Erick gained a place at Butte College, but dropped out in his second year, the pull of the card tables being too tempting to resist. He started dealing Blackjack, and slowly developed and interest and skill in poker. His favourite variety of poker is No Limit Hold’em, and he tries to learn as much from his opponents as he can, especially those with exceptional knowledge and experience, like Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu.

Playing poker online is a increasing in popularity, and many of the major players on the poker circuit today openly endorse online poker rooms as a way of developing their skills. Erick is no different and is one of the original endorsers of FullTiltPoker.com, along with superstar poker players like Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Phil Gordon and Jennifer Harman. The site not only gives online players a chance to compete against some of the best poker players in the world, but also to learn tips and strategies from those players. Erick has also pushed poker further into the light of a wider audience by signing up with Knob Creek Bourbon, marking the first endorsement of poker by a consumer brand. Continuing in this vein, Erick also follows the path of many other young players who are keen to bring the poker world to new levels of respectability and recognition. He has been signed by the management company Poker Royalty, who can be contacted to arrange for Erick to attend corporate events as a public speaker or guest.
