All the rooms at the El Cortez have standard amentities like telephone, voice mail, maid service, air conditioning, televisions, wifi, and more.

The El Cortez hotel section also offers a very nice gift shop that is open 24/7. You can find all kinds of unique souvenirs of your Las Vegas trip, like jewelry, dolls, and t-shorts, as well as everyday items like munchies and limited personal supplies. If you need a good haircut, there is a full-service salon for both men and women on the second floor that is open from 9 to 5, but it’s popular so you will need to call for an appointment.

The El Cortez is slot machine city, and offers over 1,000 machines. You can find everything from penny slots to five-dollar machines at El Cortez, as well as video poker, video reels, video keno and multi-player games.

Inside El Cortez is Roberta’s Steakhouse, one of the most popular places for steaks, prime rib, chicken, and seafood. The Review Journal voted Roberta’s Porter House steak a #1 special by readers. Kitty’s Café also offers a great Porter House, as well as breakfast all day long, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, and seafood. One of the features of the El Cortez dining experience is that it’s mixed with the gaming floor--El Cortez offers gameside dining so you don’t have to leave your favorite lucky slot machine just to eat!

For other food choices, try the Express Breakfast Buffet and Chinese Kitchen Buffet. There are also great cocktail lounges throughout the El Cortez, and you can visit them any time of day or night. El Cortez is also near other great restaurants and lounges in the downtown area, and you need only walk a short way to find them.

El Cortez, as part of the Fremont Street Experience, offers a short walk to the FSE mall and entertainment. This venue boasts a 90-foot-high canopy that covers four city blocks and houses all kinds of entertainment. So if you get tired of gambling and gaming and want to see a show, come out into the warm Las Vegas night air for the entertainment at the Fremont Street Experience.
